⚠️ Critical Safety Warning: The load placed on a snatch block anchor is NOT simply the weight of the load being lifted. The total force on the block depends on the angle of the load lines entering and exiting the block.

1. Working Load Limit (WLL)

Determine the maximum line tension and account for the resultant angle force. Always select a block whose WLL comfortably exceeds the total anchor force under real-world dynamic conditions.

2. Rope Compatibility (Wire Rope vs. Synthetic)

  • Wire Rope: Requires a hardened steel or alloy sheave with a groove machined to match the exact wire diameter. Using an oversized or undersized sheave causes excessive wear, flattening, or premature wire failure.

  • Synthetic Rope: Requires a smooth, wide-radius sheave (often aluminum or engineered polymer) with zero sharp edges or burrs that could fray synthetic fibers.

3. Attachment Type
