The Nova Vertical Plate Lifting Clamp is a steel plate clamp designed for the vertical lifting and handling of flat steel plates, structural steel, and similar flat materials. The clamp attaches to the edge of a plate and orients the load vertically during the lift, making it well suited for moving plate stock from horizontal storage into vertical working positions, or for transporting plate in a vertical orientation through a facility. The clamping mechanism engages the plate edge securely under load, with grip force increasing as the load weight increases, providing a self-locking action that maintains a secure hold throughout the lift.

Rated to a working load limit of 5 Ton, this clamp features a jaw opening range of 0 to 1.18 inches, accommodating a range of plate thicknesses within that span. It is designed for use on materials with a maximum hardness of 30 HRC (285 HV or 300 HB), covering the majority of standard structural and mild steel plate applications. A minimum working load of 20% of the maximum WLL must be maintained during use to ensure the clamping mechanism remains properly engaged and the load is held securely throughout the operation.
