Product Description: The Tractel Blocfor® B50 is a 50 ft self-retracting lifeline (SRL) engineered specifically for leading edge fall protection applications. Housed in a durable fiberglass case, the unit contains a 50 ft galvanized steel wire rope that pays out and retracts automatically as the worker moves, maintaining constant tension and eliminating slack that could contribute to fall distance. The leading edge rating means this SRL is designed and tested to withstand the additional abrasion and shock load demands that occur when the lifeline may contact a sharp or unprotected structural edge during a fall event — a condition that standard SRLs are not rated to handle.

The Blocfor® B50 is equipped with a swivel self-locking snap hook for secure, tool-free connection to a compatible dorsal D-ring on a full-body harness. The swivel function allows the snap hook to rotate freely, reducing torque and twisting on the lifeline during movement and helping to maintain proper orientation throughout the work task. The galvanized steel wire rope provides high tensile strength and corrosion resistance, making this unit suitable for demanding outdoor and industrial environments.

Certified to CSA Z259.2.2-17, ANSI Z359.14-2014, and OSHA requirements, the Blocfor® B50 meets the applicable North American standards for self-retracting lifelines used in leading edge applications. It is intended for use as part of a complete personal fall arrest system in conjunction with a certified full-body harness and compatible anchorage connector.
