Product Description

Product Description:
Coffing CTA manual geared trolleys provide controlled horizontal travel for compatible hoists and suspended loads along an overhead beam. A hand chain and gear drive allow the operator to position the load more accurately than with a conventional push trolley, without requiring electrical or pneumatic power. The listed configurations cover rated capacities from 1/4 to 5 Ton for industrial lifting, maintenance, fabrication, production and material-handling applications.

The adjustable trolley design accommodates a range of beam flange widths and beam heights. The listed 1/4 through 3 Ton models fit flange widths from 3.33 to 7 in and beam heights from 6 to 18 in, and can negotiate a 48 in minimum-radius curve. The listed 4 and 5 Ton models fit flange widths from 4 to 7 in and beam heights from 8 to 18 in and are configured for straight-track operation. Coffing identifies the larger-capacity CTA models as eight-wheel designs that distribute the load across additional wheel-contact points to reduce beam flange stress.

A universal mounting clevis accepts compatible Coffing hook-mounted hoists, while lug-mounted hoists can be connected directly to the trolley load pins. Fully machined dual-tread wheels accommodate compatible tapered or flat beam flanges, and permanently lubricated, shielded ball bearings support smooth travel with minimal routine maintenance. Wrap-around side plates incorporate protective lugs that provide added security and act as bumpers around the wheels. Standard geared models include a 6 ft hand-chain drop, with other hand-chain lengths available.
