Product Description

The Coffing EC Series Electric Chain Hoist is engineered for heavy-duty industrial lifting, repetitive production work and controlled positioning of suspended loads. The models shown use double-reeved load-chain configurations and include 1 Ton and 2 Ton small-frame hoists as well as 3 Ton and 4 Ton large-frame hoists. Available configurations provide 10, 15 or 20 ft Lift, one-speed control and lifting speeds from 6 to 16 FPM.

Small-frame EC hoists use cast aluminum alloy housings to reduce overall weight and are designed for motors rated up to 1 HP. Large-frame models use ductile iron load-bearing housings for additional strength, combined with cast aluminum alloy non-load-bearing housings to control weight. The large-frame design accommodates higher-torque 2 HP and 3 HP three-phase motors for demanding high-capacity lifting service.

The EC Series incorporates separate mechanical load and motor brakes for controlled stopping and secure load holding. An overload-limiting clutch helps protect the hoist and supporting structure against excessive loading, while heat-treated alloy steel gearing operates in an oil bath for dependable lubrication, heat dissipation and smooth power transmission. Removable brake and electrical covers provide access to major components for inspection and service.
