Crosby G-417 closed spelter sockets are high-performance wire rope termination components designed for permanent, secure connections in heavy lifting and rigging applications. These sockets provide a fully enclosed termination that protects the rope end while delivering maximum strength and reliability.
Designed for use with a wide range of wire rope constructions, closed spelter sockets are ideal for critical lifting operations where strength, durability, and long-term performance are essential.

Cast alloy steel (sizes 1-5/8" and above)

Specifications:
Spelter socket terminations provide 100% efficiency based on wire rope strength
Designed for use with 6×7, 6×19, and 6×37 wire rope constructions
Compatible with IPS, XIP (EIP), XXIP (EEIP), RRL, FC, and IWRC ropes
Meets Federal Specification RR-S-550D Type B (with noted exceptions)
Larger sizes are magnetic particle inspected and ultrasonic tested
Proof testing available upon request
Multi-groove design varies by size to improve rope grip and performance
