Crosby US-422T utility wedge sockets are durable wire rope termination components designed for quick installation, inspection, and field adjustment. Manufactured with a cast steel basket and forged load pin, these sockets provide reliable performance in lifting and rigging applications.

Series: US-422T Utility Wedge Sockets

Efficiency: Wedge socket terminations have an efficiency rating of 80% based on the catalog strength of XXIP wire rope.

Construction: Basket is cast steel and individually magnetic particle inspected. The load pin is forged and headed on one end.

Interchangeable Wedges: A socket can accommodate multiple wireline sizes by changing to the correct wedge for the wire rope size. The socket model and applicable wireline size are cast into each wedge.

Wedge Identification: Wedges are color coded for identification. Blue identifies the largest wireline size for the socket, orange identifies the smallest size, and black identifies intermediate sizes where applicable.

QUIC-CHECK®: TERMINATOR-style US-422T wedges incorporate Crosby's patented “Go” and “No-Go” feature. The correct wire rope should pass through the “Go” hole and must not pass through the “No-Go” hole.

Hammer Pad: US-422T wedge sockets incorporate a hammer pad (lip) to assist with proper securement of the termination.

Compliance: Meets or exceeds the applicable requirements of ASME B30.26, including identification, ductility, design factor, proof load and temperature requirements. API-2C certification is available upon request.

Wedge Compatibility: UWO-422T wedges are for use only with US-422T Wedge Socket Assemblies.

Wedge Only: Stock numbers listed in the “Wedge Only Stock No.” column are replacement wedges only and do not include the complete wedge socket assembly.
