Product Description

The 3M Protecta PRO Pack Elastic Shock Absorbing Lanyard is a personal fall arrest lanyard engineered to provide reliable fall protection for workers at height in construction, industrial maintenance, and other elevated work applications. The integrated shock absorber pack deploys during a fall event, extending to reduce the peak arrest force transmitted to the worker's body and harness to within the limits specified by applicable fall protection standards, minimizing the risk of injury during fall arrest by limiting the forces applied to the worker's spine, harness attachment points, and anchor system.

The elastic lanyard construction allows the lanyard to stretch and retract during normal movement, reducing the tendency of a fixed-length lanyard to snag on structures, equipment, or the work surface as the worker moves through the work area. This elastic behavior keeps the lanyard taut and out of the way during normal work activity, reducing trip hazards and improving worker mobility and comfort compared to non-elastic lanyards of equivalent length. The shock absorber pack is contained within a protective cover that keeps the pack clean and intact until deployment is required during a fall event.

At 6 ft maximum length, this lanyard is suited for use in construction, industrial maintenance, steel erection, roofing, and other work at height applications where a single-leg fall arrest lanyard with shock absorption is required.
