The Coffing SLC Electric Chain Hoist is a compact powered lifting unit designed for workstation, production and general industrial material-handling applications. These double-reeved models provide a 10 ft Lift and are available in 500 lb, 600 lb and 1000 lb capacities. The configurations shown use one-speed control and 1/6 hp motors, with lifting speeds of 6, 8, 12 or 20 FPM and electrical options for 115, 230 or 460 VAC.

The SLC uses lightweight die-cast aluminum frames and covers to provide a compact, rugged housing with reduced headroom. A hardened alloy steel oblique-lay liftwheel maintains consistent chain travel and helps reduce wear on the Hoistaloy load chain. Grease-lubricated hardened spur gears and bearings at the rotating points support smooth, quiet operation, while the thermally protected hoist-duty motor is designed for dependable powered lifting.

A DC disc-type motor brake provides controlled stopping and load holding, while the Protector overload device allows the first gear to slip when an excessive load is applied. The rugged NEMA 4 control station supports operation in industrial environments, and forged steel upper and lower hooks with latches provide secure suspension and load attachment. The spreadsheet configurations also identify combined DC and regenerative braking for controlled lifting and lowering.
