Product Description

Product Description:
CM Series 84A spark-resistant manual geared trolleys provide controlled horizontal travel for compatible hoists and suspended loads operating along overhead runway beams. The listed configurations cover capacities from 1/4 to 12 Ton with capacity-specific beam flange ranges, beam height ranges, wheel dimensions, headroom measurements, and minimum curve requirements. The spark-resistant configuration is intended for applications where reducing the potential for mechanically generated sparks is an important equipment-selection consideration.

The operator moves the trolley by pulling the operating hand chain, which transfers motion through the geared drive to the trolley wheels. This arrangement provides gradual forward and reverse positioning while reducing the effort required to move heavier suspended loads compared with a plain push trolley. Manual geared operation requires no electric traverse motor, pneumatic drive, or powered travel controls.

The 1/4 and 1/2 Ton models fit beam flanges from 2.66 to 5 in and beam heights from 4 to 12 in, with a 20 in minimum-radius curve and 4 in wheel-tread diameter. The 1 and 1-1/2 Ton models fit 3 to 6 in flanges and use 5 in wheels with a 24 in minimum-radius curve. The 2 and 3 Ton models fit 3.33 to 6-1/4 in flanges and use 6 in wheels with a 30 in minimum-radius curve. The 4, 5, and 6 Ton models fit 4 to 7 in flanges and use 8 in wheels with a 36 in minimum-radius curve. The 8 Ton models fit 4-5/8 to 8 in flanges, while the 10 and 12 Ton models fit 4.62 to 8 in flanges; these higher-capacity configurations use 10 in wheels and require a 60 in minimum-radius curve.
