Product Description

The CM ShopStar Electric Chain Hoist is a compact powered lifting unit designed for rugged commercial and industrial material handling. These double-reeved models have a 10 ft Lift and are available in 500 lb, 600 lb and 1000 lb capacities. Depending on the selected configuration, lifting speeds include 6, 8, 12 or 20 FPM, with one-speed controls and electrical options that include 230, 460 and 575 VAC where specified. The double-reeved arrangement supports higher-capacity lifting while maintaining the ShopStar’s compact workstation-oriented design.

The hoist uses a thermally protected motor and a cast aluminum alloy frame with a durable epoxy powder-coated finish. Its totally enclosed construction helps protect the motor from environmental contamination, while the lifetime-lubricated gear train reduces routine maintenance requirements. The 10-pocket oblique-lay liftwheel promotes smooth chain engagement, consistent lifting motion and extended load-chain wear.

A standard overload device helps protect the hoist and supporting structure against damaging overloads. The dual braking system combines a DC brake with regenerative braking for controlled stopping and secure load holding. A NEMA 4 industrial control station supports operation in demanding work areas, while available hook suspensions, trolleys and chain containers allow the hoist to be adapted to different fixed or mobile overhead lifting arrangements.
