CM Series 622-A hand chain hoists are compact, manually operated lifting units designed for industrial maintenance, construction, fabrication, equipment installation, and general material-handling applications. The listed configurations include a 1/2 Ton model with a 10 ft Lift and a 1 Ton model with a 20 ft Lift. The 1/2 Ton model requires approximately 50 lb of hand-chain pull at rated load, while the 1 Ton model requires approximately 68 lb. Both use single-strand load-chain reeving.

The lightweight steel frame and compact round housing provide an ultra-low-headroom profile that simplifies installation in restricted work areas. Heat-treated load-bearing components support long service life, while hardened load chain provides flexibility and resistance to wear. Forged upper and lower hooks swivel through 360 degrees and have enlarged throat openings for easier attachment and load positioning. Stamped steel safety latches help retain properly seated rigging when the connection becomes temporarily slack.

A Weston-type brake provides positive load control and precise positioning while remaining clean and dry within the enclosed hoist body. Dual pawls support dependable brake engagement, and the handwheel cover incorporates guide slots and rolled edges to promote smooth hand-chain movement while reducing slipping and jamming. The 1/2 Ton model has approximately 11-5/8 in of headroom and an 8 ft hand-chain drop, while the 1 Ton model has approximately 13 in of headroom and an 18 ft hand-chain drop.
