CM Rigger lever chain hoists are compact, manually operated ratchet hoists designed for lifting, lowering, pulling, and tensioning in moderate commercial and industrial applications. Both listed models have a 5 ft Lift and require approximately 98 lb of lever pull to raise their rated loads. The 3/4 Ton model uses single-chain reeving, while the 1-1/2 Ton model uses two-chain reeving.

The free-wheeling function allows the unloaded chain to be pulled through the hoist by hand for fast hook positioning and attachment. During operation, one directional lever changes the hoist between lifting and lowering modes. The ratchet, driving pawl, and holding pawl work together to control the load, allowing it to be advanced or released in controlled increments through repeated movement of the operating handle.

Flexible CM load chain travels through cloverleaf-style chain guides and a stripper that help seat the chain correctly in the liftwheel and reduce the likelihood of jamming. Forged upper and lower hooks are equipped with latches to help retain properly seated attachments when they become temporarily slack. The compact, lightweight construction supports convenient transport, storage, and operation in restricted work areas.
