The CM Lodestar Model R Electric Chain Hoist is engineered for heavy-duty industrial lifting and repetitive material-handling applications. The double-reeved configurations shown provide a 2 Ton capacity, 8 FPM lifting speed and a 1 hp hoist-duty motor. Available lifting heights include 10, 15 and 20 ft, with 115 VAC single-phase and 230/460 VAC three-phase electrical configurations.

The Model R uses a heavy-duty DC brake for controlled stopping and dependable load holding. Lifetime grease-lubricated helical gearing supports efficient, quiet operation without routine gearbox oil changes, while the externally accessible overload clutch helps reduce service time and prevents load slippage during an overload condition when the brake is not powered.

A five-pocket liftwheel improves engagement with the load chain to provide smoother lifting, reduced vibration and longer chain life. Hardened chain guides, forged latch-style hooks and zinc-plated Star Grade load chain provide durability for demanding service. Selected models use 6:1 VFD control for a lifting-speed range of approximately 1.3 to 8 FPM and improved positioning control.
