The CM Cyclone Series 646 Hand Chain Hoist is a manually operated lifting solution designed for heavy industrial load handling where electrical or pneumatic power is unavailable or unnecessary. These hook-suspended models feature a triple-reeved load-chain configuration and a 10 ft Lift. The first model has a 5 Ton capacity, while the second model has a 6 Ton capacity.

High-efficiency spur gearing helps reduce the hand-chain effort required to lift heavy loads. Fully machined, forged liftwheel pockets promote smooth load-chain engagement, while the rugged Hoistaloy load chain provides strength, flexibility and resistance to wear. High-strength aluminum alloy frame and cover castings provide a durable but comparatively lightweight enclosure for the internal lifting mechanism.

An enclosed, contoured Weston-type automatic brake provides positive load holding and controlled lowering. A standard load limiter supplies automatic overload protection by preventing continued lifting when the hoist is excessively overloaded. The 5 Ton model has a 24-1/4 in minimum distance between hooks, a listed 1-1/5 in hook opening and requires 75 lb of hand-chain pull to lift its rated load. The 6 Ton model has a 25-1/4 in minimum distance between hooks, a 2-1/16 in hook opening and requires 90 lb of pull.
