The CM Cyclone Series 646 Hand Chain Hoist is a manually operated lifting solution designed for dependable industrial load handling without electrical or pneumatic power. All three products feature a double-reeved load-chain arrangement and a 10 ft Lift. Product 4627 has a 3 Ton capacity, while products 4628 and 4838 have a 4 Ton capacity.

An enclosed, contoured Weston-type automatic brake provides positive load holding and controlled lowering. High-efficiency spur gearing reduces the hand-chain effort required to lift the load, while fully machined, forged liftwheel pockets promote smooth chain engagement and free chaining. A standard load limiter provides automatic overload protection, and the Hoistaloy load chain is designed to provide strength and durability in demanding lifting service.

Products 4627 and 4628 use rigid hook suspension for attachment to a properly rated overhead support. Product 4838 combines the Cyclone hand hoist with a low-headroom plain trolley, providing reduced vertical clearance and allowing the load to travel along a suitable overhead beam. The trolley configuration uses crowned-tread, flanged wheels to reduce rolling resistance and improve movement along the supporting beam.

Product 4838 is a low-headroom plain trolley hoist rather than a hook-suspended hoist. The spreadsheet identifies the 16-3/4 in measurement as minimum between hooks, while other product data identifies the same measurement as trolley headroom.
