The JET Powerblend High Performance Flap Disc is a Type 29 conical-profile abrasive disc engineered for aggressive material removal and blending on metal surfaces. Constructed with zirconia abrasive at Z80 grit (fine grade), this flap disc delivers consistent, controlled stock removal with a smooth finish, making it well suited for weld blending, surface preparation, and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals. Zirconia abrasive is self-sharpening under pressure, maintaining cutting efficiency throughout the life of the disc and providing longer service life compared to standard aluminum oxide alternatives.

The Type 29 conical disc geometry positions the abrasive at an angle to the workpiece, concentrating grinding pressure at the leading edge for more aggressive material removal than a flat Type 27 disc while still allowing for effective blending and finishing passes. This makes the Powerblend flap disc particularly effective for weld seam removal, edge blending, and surface conditioning where both stock removal rate and surface quality are important.
