The Pewag AWI18-6 Grade 63 Stainless Steel Master Link is a corrosion-resistant connecting link designed for use in Grade 63 stainless steel lifting chain sling assemblies. Constructed from stainless steel, the AWI18-6 is engineered for lifting applications in environments where standard alloy steel components would be subject to corrosion, contamination, or chemical attack, including food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, marine environments, chemical plants, and cleanroom or hygienic lifting applications. As a master link, it serves as the primary connection point between the lifting chain legs and the hook of a hoist or crane.

The AWI18-6 is manufactured from stainless steel and rated to Grade 63 standards, which is the recognized grade classification for stainless steel lifting chain and fittings. Grade 63 stainless steel chain and components have a lower working load limit compared to Grade 80 or Grade 100 alloy steel equivalents of the same diameter, which is a characteristic of stainless steel's mechanical properties relative to heat-treated alloy steel.
