Product Description

The Yale Model XL Electric Chain Hoist is engineered for heavy-duty industrial lifting in automotive production, heavy manufacturing, paper mills and other demanding environments. The configurations shown range from 2 Ton to 6 Ton capacities with a 10 ft Lift. Available models include one-speed and two-speed controls, with lifting speeds ranging from 2 to 18 FPM and 230, 460 or 480 VAC electrical configurations.

A heavy-duty, thermally protected hoist motor works with a triple-reduction helical gear system operating in an oil bath to provide smooth operation, reduced wear and long service life. The cast aluminum alloy housing and integral frame design help create a relatively lightweight, low-profile hoist while supporting motor and gear-train heat dissipation.

The heavy-duty multiple-disc electric brake provides positive load control and securely holds the load during a power failure. A standard Protector overload device helps prevent dangerous overload lifting, while adjustable screw-type limit switches restrict load-chain overtravel. The forged 10-pocket oblique-lay liftwheel promotes smooth chain flow, consistent chain speed and reduced load-chain wear.
