The CM Series 653 lever chain hoist is a manually operated lifting and pulling tool designed for industrial maintenance, construction, fabrication, equipment installation, and material-positioning applications. This configuration has a 3 Ton load capacity, 20 ft Lift, 19-1/8 in minimum distance between hooks, approximately 77 lb of pull at rated load, and single-strand reeving.

The hoist uses an impact-resistant stamped steel frame and gear cover to protect its internal operating components during repeated industrial use. Hardened steel load chain and load-sharing gears provide strength and wear resistance, while forged hooks with heavy-duty safety latches help retain properly seated lifting attachments. A powder-coated exterior provides additional resistance to corrosion in demanding work environments.

Single-handed free chaining allows unloaded slack chain to be moved quickly for initial hook positioning. The 360-degree rotating handle supports operation around nearby equipment or structural obstructions, while the enclosed Weston-type load brake and double-pawl arrangement provide dependable load holding and controlled positioning. The 3 Ton Series 653 configuration uses the standard operating handle rather than the short handle used on lower-capacity models.
