CM Series 657 lever chain hoists are metric-rated, manually operated hoists designed for lifting, pulling, stretching, tensioning, and positioning loads. The listed configurations include 1-1/2, 3, and 6 Ton capacities with lifting heights ranging from 5 to 20 ft. Their compact and portable construction is suited to construction, commercial, maintenance, fabrication, and industrial rigging applications where powered lifting equipment is unnecessary or unavailable.

An impact-resistant stamped steel housing protects the internal operating components during demanding use. Double-reduction gearing helps minimize the handle effort required to move a rated load, while the short cushioned-grip handle supports controlled operation in restricted spaces. The handle can rotate through 360 degrees, allowing the operator to reposition it when nearby structures limit the available operating arc.

A one-handed freewheeling mechanism allows unloaded slack chain to be taken up or positioned quickly before the load is engaged. Once operating under load, the enclosed screw-and-disc brake helps protect the braking surfaces from dirt and moisture while providing positive load positioning. Through-hardened load chain supports repeated lifting and pulling service, and upper and lower hooks with retaining latches help keep properly seated rigging engaged.
