Series 657 Lever Chain Hoist - 6 Ton, Less Chain

Product Description

The CM Series 657 lever chain hoist is a metric-rated, manually operated hoist designed for lifting, lowering, pulling, tensioning, and positioning heavy loads. This 6 Ton configuration is supplied less chain and has a 22-3/4 in minimum distance between hooks with approximately 76 lb of handle effort required to lift the rated load. The less-chain arrangement allows the required load-chain length to be selected separately for the intended application.

An impact-resistant stamped steel housing protects the internal operating components while maintaining a compact and portable design. Double-reduction gearing helps minimize the operating effort required at rated capacity, while the short cushioned-grip handle can rotate through 360 degrees for greater flexibility around machinery, structures, and other obstructions.

Once the correct load chain has been installed, the free-wheeling mechanism allows unloaded slack chain to be taken up and positioned quickly. An enclosed screw-and-disc brake helps keep the braking surfaces protected from dirt and moisture while providing positive load holding and controlled positioning. The completed 6 Ton configuration uses two falls of load chain and includes hooks with retaining latches to help keep properly seated rigging engaged.
