Product Description

The Pewag VMW7/8 is a Grade 100 enlarged pear-shaped quad leg master link assembly designed to serve as the top connection component in four-leg chain sling configurations. The pear-shaped (PC/O) profile provides a stable, self-orienting connection point that keeps the master link assembly properly seated in the crane hook throughout the lift, reducing the risk of side-loading or unintended rotation during lifting operations. The assembly is engineered to Pewag's OEM specifications for use with 9/32" Grade 100 chain in quad leg sling builds.

The enlarged opening of the VMW7/8 accommodates a wider range of crane hook throat sizes than a standard master link of the same chain size, providing greater hook selection flexibility without requiring an upgrade to a larger chain size. As a quad leg master link assembly, the VMW7/8 is designed to accept four sling legs, distributing the load evenly across all four legs of the sling configuration. The Grade 100 alloy steel construction delivers the high working load limit required for reliable performance in demanding industrial lifting environments.

This master link assembly is suited for use in four-leg chain sling applications in fabrication, construction, steel processing, shipyard, and general industrial lifting environments.
