Product Description

Product Description: The Western HS-301B Series 3300 lb Manila Rope Steel Shell Block is a robust single-groove rigging block designed for use with manila rope cable up to 1 inch in diameter in general rigging, construction, marine, and industrial applications where a higher-capacity steel shell block is required for medium to heavy duty rope-based lifting and pulling operations. Steel shell blocks offer the durability and strength of an all-steel construction suited to demanding field and industrial rigging environments. The HS-301B Series is rated to a 3300 lb working load limit and is well matched to medium duty rigging applications where manila rope is the preferred or specified line material and a single-groove block of substantial capacity is required.

The single 4-3/4 inch sheave provides a solid rope bend radius for 1 inch manila rope, helping to manage rope wear and fiber fatigue during repeated use and contributing to reliable rope service life in regular field rigging applications. The sheave runs on a self-lubricating bronze bushing bearing, a proven and low-maintenance bearing solution well suited to field rigging environments where regular lubrication may not always be practical. Self-lubricating bronze bushings deliver consistent performance across a range of operating conditions, resist corrosion, and provide reliable service life in both indoor and outdoor applications without requiring frequent maintenance intervention. The 8 inch block size accommodates the larger 1 inch rope diameter and 4-3/4 inch sheave while maintaining the compact and manageable steel shell block form factor suited to a wide range of rigging configurations.

The HS-301B Series steel shell block is designed for integration into general rigging, block and tackle, and rope-based lifting and pulling systems where a dependable medium-capacity single-groove manila rope block in a steel shell configuration is required. The block is compatible with standard rigging hardware including hooks and shackles rated to the appropriate working load limit. All connected rigging components must be rated to 3300 lb or greater, and the block must be inspected before each use in accordance with applicable lifting and rigging safety standards. Manila rope must be inspected for wear, fraying, and degradation before each use and replaced when signs of deterioration are present.
