The CM Powerstar Electric Chain Hoist is a heavy-duty lifting unit designed for demanding industrial applications that have traditionally required wire rope hoists. These single-reeved models provide 2 Ton or 3 Ton capacities with a 20 ft Lift. Available configurations include one-speed and two-speed controls, lifting speeds from 8 to 40 FPM and electrical options for 230 or 460 VAC service.

A rugged aluminum alloy frame protects the lifting and drive components while providing a compact, space-saving alternative to a comparable wire rope hoist. The heat-treated alloy steel liftwheel features machined chain pockets for consistent engagement with the Hoistaloy load chain, while machined and hardened steel helical gearing provides efficient power transmission and long service life.

The sealed oil-bath drivetrain and life-lubricated bearings help reduce routine maintenance requirements. A dual braking system provides controlled stopping and load holding, while regenerative braking reduces heat generation within the drivetrain. Standard overload protection and adjustable upper and lower screw-type limit switches help protect the hoist and restrict excessive hook travel. Two-speed configurations operate with a 3:1 speed ratio for controlled positioning and faster load movement.
