The Budgit Series USA Hand Chain Hoist is a manually operated lifting unit designed for rugged industrial and construction service. This model provides a 5 Ton rated capacity, 8 ft Lift, lug suspension and a Weston-style mechanical load brake. Manual hand-chain operation allows loads to be raised, held and lowered without electrical or pneumatic power.

The lug-mounted configuration replaces the standard upper suspension hook with a rigid mounting lug. This arrangement supports attachment to a compatible rigid-mount trolley or properly engineered supporting structure, providing a stable installation and reduced headroom compared with a conventional hook-suspended configuration.

A rigid cast aluminum alloy frame maintains alignment of the gears and bearings while enclosing the operating mechanism against dirt and weather. The internal assembly includes spur-gear reduction, an automatic load brake, a load sprocket with chain guide and a load regulator designed to help protect the hoist against excessive overloads.
