Yale PD2 ratchet lever hoists are rugged manual chain hoists designed for lifting, lowering, and pulling loads in industrial, construction, maintenance, and equipment-positioning applications. The listed models provide a 5 ft Lift in 3/4, 1-1/2, 3, and 6 Ton capacities. Their short-radius operating handles and compact hook-suspended design support use in cramped work areas where clearance around the hoist is limited.

High-strength malleable cast iron housings and handles protect the gearing and brake from impact, dirt, and jobsite debris. Precision-machined, heat-treated alloy steel gears provide durable mechanical power transmission, while hardened alloy steel welded-link load chain offers the flexibility and wear resistance required for repeated hoisting service. Forged upper and lower hooks swivel through 360 degrees and include safety latches to help retain properly seated rigging.

A self-actuating Weston-type load brake provides positive, non-slip load control during lifting and lowering. For faster unloaded hook positioning, the operator can place the selector lever in neutral and use the handwheel to freewheel the chain. The recessed selector supports one-handed operation, the offset handle helps separate the operator’s hand from the moving chain, and an integrated chain guide helps reduce twisting or jamming at the load sheave. The 3/4, 1-1/2, and 3 Ton models use single-strand reeving, while the 6 Ton model uses two-strand reeving.
