Product Description

The Budgit Shophoist Electric Chain Hoist is a compact powered lifting unit designed for commercial and industrial material handling. The models shown have double-reeved load-chain configurations, 10 ft Lift and capacities of 500 lb, 600 lb or 1000 lb. Available lifting speeds include 6, 8, 12 and 20 FPM, depending on the selected capacity and electrical configuration. The listed models use 1/16 hp motors, one-speed controls, dual DC/regenerative braking and 1 in hook openings.

The Shophoist is built around a rugged cast aluminum alloy frame with a totally enclosed, non-ventilated design that helps protect the motor from environmental contamination. A thermally protected hoist-duty motor supports frequent lifting cycles, while precision bearings and a lifetime-lubricated gear train promote smooth, dependable operation with reduced routine maintenance. The epoxy powder-coated exterior provides added protection for demanding shop and production environments.

A 10-pocket oblique-lay liftwheel provides smooth chain engagement, consistent chain travel and reduced load-chain wear. The standard Protector overload device helps prevent excessive loading, while the dual braking system provides controlled stopping and load holding. A rigid latch-style upper hook helps prevent the power cord from becoming tangled, and the hardened forged steel lower hook rotates through 360° to assist with load alignment and true vertical lifting.
