The Pewag MW22 is a Grade 100 enlarged pear-shaped master link designed for use as the top connection component in heavy-duty overhead chain sling assemblies. Constructed from high-tensile alloy steel and rated to Grade 100 standards, the MW22 features an enlarged opening that accommodates a wider range of crane hooks and lifting hardware than standard master links of the same chain size. The pear-shaped (PC/O) profile provides a stable, self-orienting connection point that keeps the master link properly seated in the hook throughout the lift, reducing the risk of side-loading or unintended rotation during lifting operations.

The MW22 is compatible with 7/8" Grade 100 chain and integrates into the Pewag chain sling system as the primary top fitting in single and multi-leg sling configurations. The enlarged link dimensions ensure compatibility with larger crane hook throats commonly encountered in heavy industrial lifting operations, providing greater hook selection flexibility without requiring an upgrade to a larger chain size.
