The Petzl VOLT WIND is a full-body harness engineered specifically for the wind power industry, combining fall arrest and work positioning capabilities in a single system optimized for the unique demands of wind turbine maintenance and inspection. Wind turbine technicians face a distinct set of challenges — climbing tall towers, working in confined nacelles, and spending extended periods suspended at height — and the VOLT WIND is designed to address all of these requirements. Its construction accommodates the full range of movements required during turbine access, including ladder climbing, horizontal travel, and suspended work positioning inside and outside the nacelle.

The VOLT WIND provides four D-ring attachment points — side, sternal, dorsal, and rear — giving technicians the flexibility to connect fall arrest devices, work positioning lanyards, and climbing systems at the appropriate attachment point for each phase of the job. The side D-rings support work positioning and restraint, the dorsal D-ring serves as the primary fall arrest connection, the sternal D-ring accommodates guided fall arresters and certain climbing systems, and the rear D-ring provides an additional connection option for specific applications. This multi-point configuration makes the VOLT WIND compatible with the full range of Petzl and industry-standard wind energy PPE systems.

The international version of the VOLT WIND is certified to ANSI Z359.11, CSA Z259.10, CE EN 361, CE EN 358, UKCA, and JSFAD, covering North American, European, UK, and Japanese regulatory requirements. It is compatible with the Petzl VOLT Seat accessory for improved comfort during extended suspension. Available in size 0.
