The Petzl NEWTON FAST is a quick-donning full-body fall arrest harness designed for workers at height who require a streamlined, efficient harness for daily use in construction, industrial maintenance, and general work-at-height applications. The FAST designation refers to the harness's rapid buckle and adjustment system, which is engineered to minimize the time required to don, adjust, and secure the harness correctly — a critical advantage in environments where workers must put on and remove their harness multiple times throughout the workday. The harness provides sternal and dorsal D-ring attachment points, supporting use with fall arrest lanyards, self-retracting lifelines, and guided-type fall arresters. The dorsal D-ring serves as the primary fall arrest connection point, while the sternal D-ring accommodates guided fall arrester devices and certain rope access configurations.

The international version of the NEWTON FAST carries certifications including CE EN 361, EAC, ANSI Z359.11, CSA Z259.10, UKCA, JSFAD, GB 6095-2021: Z, and XF 494-2004: FZL-DD-III, making it compliant for use across North American, European, UK, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese markets.
