Product Description

The Kito Hand Chain Wheel is a genuine OEM replacement component designed for use in Kito M3CB Series manual chain hoists at the 3 tonne capacity rating, identified by part number C3BA015-9115. The hand chain wheel — also referred to as the hand wheel or hand chain sprocket — is the driven wheel within the hoist mechanism that engages the hand chain and converts the operator's pulling force into rotational input to the hoist gear train. As the operator pulls down on one side of the hand chain loop, the hand chain engages the pockets of the hand chain wheel, rotating it and transmitting force through the gear reduction assembly to the load sheave, raising or lowering the load chain and attached load. The hand chain wheel is a critical mechanical interface component and must be in sound condition to ensure reliable, controlled, and safe hoist operation throughout the full 3 tonne rated capacity of the M3CB Series hoist.

The hand chain wheel is subject to wear at the chain pocket surfaces over its service life through repeated engagement with the hand chain during every lift cycle, the cumulative effects of operator pull loads, and exposure to industrial operating environments including dust, moisture, and contaminants. Common conditions requiring hand chain wheel inspection or replacement include visible wear or rounding of the chain pocket profiles that causes the hand chain to slip or skip during operation, cracking or deformation of the wheel body, damage to the bore or keyway features that secure the wheel to the hoist shaft, and any condition that results in unreliable hand chain engagement or irregular hoist operation. A hand chain wheel that allows the hand chain to slip or skip must be replaced immediately, as slipping under load creates a risk of uncontrolled load movement.

At the 3 tonne capacity rating, the M3CB Series hand chain wheel operates under significant input loads during each lift cycle, particularly when lifting loads at or near the rated capacity of the hoist. Using a genuine Kito OEM Hand Chain Wheel identified by part number C3BA015-9115 ensures the replacement component is dimensionally correct for the M3CB Series hoist shaft and housing, correctly matched to the hand chain pitch and link geometry, and manufactured to the same material and performance specifications as the original part.

Material: Steel or cast iron construction consistent with Kito OEM specifications for M3CB Series hand chain wheel components

Compatible With: Kito M3CB Series manual chain hoists - 3 tonne capacity Part number C3BA015-9115

Uses: Replacement of worn, damaged, or slipping hand chain wheels on Kito M3CB Series 3 tonne manual chain hoists Scheduled preventive maintenance and hoist inspection programs Hoist overhaul and refurbishment Restoration of correct hand chain engagement and reliable hoist operation

Key Features: Genuine Kito OEM replacement hand chain wheel Designed for Kito M3CB Series manual chain hoist - 3 tonne capacity Part number C3BA015-9115 Correctly matched to M3CB Series hand chain pitch and link geometry Steel or cast iron construction to OEM specifications Ensures reliable hand chain engagement and correct power transmission to the gear train

Note: Hand chain wheel replacement must be performed by a qualified hoist technician. The hoist must be fully inspected, function tested, and load tested before returning to service following hand chain wheel replacement. Never operate a hoist where the hand chain slips or skips on the hand chain wheel — remove the hoist from service immediately and arrange for inspection and repair.
