The CM AirStar Air Chain Hoist is a compact, lightweight pneumatic lifting unit designed for demanding industrial and workstation applications. The products shown are available in 1/4 Ton, 1/2 Ton and 1 Ton capacities with hook or lug suspension, allowing the hoist to be configured for a portable overhead connection or a rigid mounting arrangement. Variable-speed pneumatic operation provides controlled lifting and lowering where accurate load positioning is required.

An aluminum frame and end cover reduce overall hoist weight while providing rugged protection for the internal components. A multi-vane rotary air motor delivers high torque and smooth operation, while accurately machined, heat-treated alloy steel spur gears provide compact and dependable gear reduction. Standard-capacity AirStar models use Hoistaloy load chain for heavy-duty service.

A positive-action shoe-type brake stops and holds the suspended load, while upper and lower limit stops help prevent excessive chain travel. An inlet-air swivel with an integrated strainer allows the hoist to move freely beneath the suspension point, and external brake adjustment supports precise control of brake responsiveness. The AirStar family offers pendant-throttle or pull-cord control configurations, a tapped exhaust port for routing exhaust away from the work area and a standard metal chain container.
