Product Description

The Petzl ABSORBICA-I VARIO is an adjustable single lanyard with an integrated energy absorber, designed to provide fall arrest protection with the added versatility of a variable length. Adjustable between 100 and 150 cm, it allows the user to set the connection length to suit the working environment, reducing free-fall distance where possible while maintaining the flexibility to reach anchorage points at varying distances. The integrated energy absorber deploys during a fall to limit the maximum arrest force transmitted to the user's body, reducing the risk of injury.

The ABSORBICA-I VARIO is certified to CE EN 355 (meeting the requirements of RFU PPE-R/11.074), ANSI Z359.13 with a 12 ft. free-fall rating, and CSA Z259.11-17, making it compliant for use in North American and European fall protection systems. ANSI Z359.13 governs self-retracting devices and energy-absorbing lanyards, and the 12 ft. free-fall rating confirms the absorber is tested for use in scenarios where significant free fall may occur before arrest.
