The Petzl MAMBO® (SKU R32AD-050) is a 10.1 mm diameter single rope designed for gym climbing and rock climbing, offering a good grip and reliable handling characteristics for both beginner and experienced climbers. At 10.1 mm, the MAMBO® sits in the mid-range diameter category, providing a balance of durability, handling comfort, and weight that makes it well suited for high-volume use in climbing gyms as well as outdoor sport and trad climbing applications. The green color provides easy identification and a clean, distinctive appearance on the wall or crag.

Constructed from nylon with a 40-carrier sheath construction, the MAMBO® is engineered to provide consistent sheath coverage and good grip texture for smooth handling through a belay device. The 50 m length is a standard configuration suitable for most gym routes and single-pitch outdoor climbs. With an impact force of 8.5 kN and a weight of 65 g/m, the MAMBO® meets the performance requirements for a single rope in demanding climbing environments while remaining manageable for everyday use. The MAMBO® is certified to CE EN 892, UKCA, and UIAA standards, confirming its compliance with internationally recognized dynamic rope performance requirements. As with all dynamic ropes, the MAMBO® should be inspected before each use for signs of sheath damage, core exposure, stiffness, or flat spots that may indicate internal damage. The rope should be retired from service in accordance with Petzl's retirement guidelines, or immediately if it has been subjected to a significant fall or shows any signs of damage.
