Chester tractor-driven powered trolleys provide motorized horizontal travel for compatible hoists and suspended loads operating along overhead runway beams. The listed configurations cover capacities from 1 to 5 Ton with travel speeds of 35, 55, 70, or 105 FPM. Electric tractor-drive operation is suitable for production, fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and material-handling systems where manual push or hand-geared trolley movement would be inefficient.

The powered tractor assembly uses an electric motor and mechanical drive components to propel the trolley along the supporting beam. The available 1/4 and 1/2 HP motor configurations allow the drive to be matched to the trolley capacity and travel speed. All listed models are configured for 230/460 V AC power and use urethane wheels, which provide traction against the runway while supporting smooth powered movement.

Each listed trolley fits beam flange widths from 3.38 to 8 in and can negotiate a 36 in minimum-radius curve. This common adjustment range allows the tractor drive to be applied across several capacity and speed configurations while maintaining the required beam fit. The trolley must be selected according to the hoist capacity, desired travel speed, available electrical supply, beam dimensions, runway curvature, and complete suspension arrangement.
