Product Description

The Yale Y80 Air Wire Rope Hoist is a heavy-duty pneumatic lifting unit designed for industrial material handling, equipment positioning and overhead lifting applications. These double-reeved models are available with capacities of 1 Ton or 2 Ton. The 1 Ton models provide a 33 FPM lifting speed with either an 18 ft or 34 ft Lift, while the 2 Ton models provide a 16 FPM lifting speed with either a 14 ft or 25 ft Lift.

Double reeving routes the wire rope through the lower block to provide stable load handling and support the rated lifting capacity. The Y80 product family combines a compact wire-rope-and-drum arrangement with a heavy welded steel frame, powerful drive system and enclosed oil-bath-lubricated gearing. Dual braking provides reliable load control during lifting, lowering and holding operations.

The Y80 uses a deep-grooved, large-diameter rope drum to help guide the wire rope and reduce overlapping, while preformed plow-steel wire rope provides strength and service life. A swivelling, heat-treated forged lower hook with a spring-loaded latch supports secure load attachment, and the shrouded lower block helps reduce access to potential pinch points. The modular Y80 design is available in multiple suspension, trolley, lift and speed configurations for integration into suitable overhead lifting systems.
