The Yale YJL Electric Chain Hoist is a compact industrial-duty lifting unit designed for quick, precise load handling. The single-reeved configurations shown range from 500 lb to 2000 lb capacities, with lifting speeds of 8, 16 or 32 FPM. The group includes less-chain hoists with one-speed control and 115/230 or 230/460 VAC power, along with geared, motorized and universal motorized trolley configurations.

Tough, lightweight die-cast aluminum alloy housings protect the internal components without creating unnecessary weight. The oil-bath transmission uses heat-treated alloy steel gears for smooth, reliable operation, while the overload-limiting clutch helps prevent the hoist from lifting damaging overloads. Dual-voltage models use terminal-block connections that allow the hoist to be configured for the applicable supply voltage.

A magnetic multiple-disc motor brake provides positive stopping and secure load holding. Adjustable upper and lower limit switches regulate load travel, while safety-latch hooks and a slack-end chain stop support dependable operation. Trolley-mounted versions are available with geared or powered travel, and compatible trolley wheels are designed to operate on flat or tapered beam flanges.
