Product Description

Product Description:
Coffing G Series double-pawl ratchet lever hoists are manually operated roller-chain hoists designed for lifting, pulling, binding, tensioning, and positioning loads. The listed models include a 3/4 Ton configuration with a 56-1/2 in Lift and two distinct 1-1/2 Ton configurations with 57 and 56-1/2 in lifting heights. Their durable construction and adjustable roller-chain design make them particularly suitable for utility transmission and distribution work, industrial maintenance, equipment positioning, and field rigging.

The 3/4 Ton model uses single-strand reeving, a 13 in minimum distance between hooks, an 18-3/4 in operating handle, and requires approximately 56 lb of handle effort at rated load. The 1-1/2 Ton model with a 57 in Lift uses two-strand reeving, has a 15 in minimum distance between hooks, and requires approximately 60 lb of handle effort. The alternate 1-1/2 Ton configuration uses single-strand reeving, provides a 56-1/2 in Lift and 16 in minimum distance between hooks, and uses a longer 27-5/8 in handle with approximately 116 lb of operating effort.

The hoist body and handle are manufactured from malleable iron, with riveted construction that helps resist unauthorized disassembly or alteration. A double-locking ratchet-and-pawl system supports operation from either side and allows the hoist to work efficiently in multiple positions. Free chaining provides rapid unloaded chain take-up and positioning but is prevented while the hoist is under load. Handle stops help prevent uncontrolled handle rotation, while the malleable iron roller chain can be lengthened or shortened by adding or removing links to adjust the working reach.
