Product Description

Coffing LSB-B ratchet lever hoists are manually operated lifting and pulling tools designed for construction, commercial, maintenance, fabrication, and industrial material-handling applications. The listed less-chain configurations cover 3/4, 1, 1-1/2, 3, and 6 Ton capacities, allowing the required load-chain length and capacity-specific reeving components to be selected separately. Standard models and versions equipped with a load limiter are represented in the listed product range.

An impact-resistant stamped steel housing protects the internal drive and braking components while maintaining a lightweight, portable design. Double-reduction gearing helps reduce the manual effort needed to move the rated load, and the short cushioned-grip handle rotates through 360 degrees for greater operating flexibility around machinery, structural members, and other obstructions. A one-handed freewheeling mechanism permits quick positioning of unloaded slack chain after the correct chain assembly has been installed.

The enclosed screw-and-disc brake helps keep the braking surfaces clean and dry while providing positive load holding and controlled positioning. Upper and lower hooks use retaining latches to help keep properly seated rigging engaged when the connection becomes temporarily slack. Models equipped with the optional load limiter are designed to alert the operator to a potential overload by allowing the handle to rotate without raising a load that exceeds the limiter setting.
