The Crosby S-319A Alloy Shank Hooks are designed for demanding lifting and rigging applications requiring higher strength alloy steel performance and enhanced fatigue resistance. Commonly used in crane systems, custom lifting devices, offshore lifting equipment, and heavy industrial rigging, these hooks provide dependable lifting performance under repeated heavy load cycles.
Manufactured from forged alloy steel and precision quenched and tempered for maximum durability, the S-319A and S-319AN hooks deliver exceptional strength while minimizing hook weight and bulk. Featuring Crosby’s QUIC-CHECK® inspection indicators, forged identification markings, and optional latch compatibility, these hooks are engineered for high-performance industrial and offshore environments.

Series: S-319A Alloy Shank Hook

Material: Forged alloy steel, quenched and tempered.

Working Load Limit: S-319A models range from 30 through 300 tons.

Design Factor: 4:1 for all S-319A models shown.

Proof Load: Maximum allowable proof load is 2 times the Working Load Limit.

Shank Length: Standard and long-shank versions are available for 30, 37, 45, 60, 75 and 100 ton models. The 150, 200 and 300 ton models are standard shank only.

Latch Compatibility: These larger S-319A frame sizes use Crosby PL and/or SS-4055 latch kits as listed in the table.

* Deformation Indicator: Dimension AA is the Crosby QUIC-CHECK® deformation-indicator reference dimension.

Machining: Shank dimensions are rough as-forged dimensions. The shank will not machine to the listed rough dimension; refer to Crosby's application and warning information for the recommended shank diameter after machining.

D/d Ratio: Crosby specifies using Dimension M when calculating the D/d ratio.

* Long Shank Models: Any size marked with an asterisk (*) indicates a Long Shank model.
