Product Description

Product Description:
The CM Series 622 Hand Chain Hoist is a manually operated lifting solution designed for economical industrial load handling without electrical or pneumatic power. The products shown include 1 Ton, 2 Ton, 3 Ton and 5 Ton Manual Special models with a 10 ft Lift, along with a 10 Ton model featuring an 8 ft Lift. Their hook-mounted configuration supports portable installation from a properly rated overhead suspension point.

The compact, low-headroom design uses lightweight steel construction for easier installation and operation in confined work areas. A hardened load chain provides flexibility and resistance to wear, while the handwheel cover incorporates guide slots to help reduce chain jamming and slipping. Forged swivel hooks with latches help minimize load-chain twisting and reduce the possibility of accidental disengagement when the chain becomes slack.

A Weston-type load brake provides positive load holding and does not require lubrication. The 1 Ton model has a 13 in minimum distance between hooks and requires 77 lb of hand-chain pull to lift its rated load. The 2 Ton model has an 18-1/8 in minimum distance and requires 82 lb of pull, the 3 Ton model has a 21-29/32 in minimum distance and requires 65 lb of pull, and the 5 Ton model has a 23-7/8 in minimum distance and requires 105 lb of pull. The 10 Ton, 8 ft Lift model requires 109 lb of hand-chain pull. The catalog confirms the same pull requirements for corresponding Series 622 capacities.
