Product Description

The CM Lodestar Model H Electric Chain Hoist is designed for demanding industrial lifting and repetitive load-positioning applications. The double-reeved configurations shown provide a 1 Ton lifting capacity, 8 FPM lifting speed, one-speed control and a 1/2 hp motor. Available lifting heights include 10, 15 and 20 ft, with 115 VAC single-phase and 230/460 VAC three-phase electrical configurations.

A heavy-duty DC brake provides controlled stopping and is positioned for convenient inspection and service. The lifetime grease-lubricated gearbox eliminates routine oil changes, while precision helical gearing supports smooth operation, reduced noise and extended service life. The overload clutch is located outside the gearbox for easier access and outside the load path to help prevent load slippage during an overload condition when the brake is not powered.

The five-pocket liftwheel improves engagement between the chain and liftwheel to provide smoother lifting, reduced vibration and lower chain wear. Zinc-plated Star Grade load chain provides corrosion protection, while the adjustable limit switch automatically stops hook travel at predetermined upper and lower positions. The Lodestar is engineered to exceed H4 requirements for high-duty-cycle industrial applications.
