The Caldwell Adjustable Spreader/Lifting Beam is a versatile below-the-hook lifting device rated at 1/4 Ton working load limit with a maximum spread of 4 ft, combining the functionality of both a spreader bar and a lifting beam in a single adjustable unit. Engineered for crane and hoist applications requiring flexible two-point load distribution, the adjustable design allows the beam length to be set within its range up to 4 ft, enabling the rigger to match the spread to the specific attachment point spacing or load width required for each lift without the need for multiple fixed-length devices.

As a spreader bar, this beam can be rigged with slings from the crane hook to the upper attachment points of the bar and lower slings from the bar ends to the load, converting a single crane hook into a two-point lift that distributes the load and eliminates the inward compression forces on the load that would result from a standard two-leg bridle sling configuration.
