The lifting beam provides a rigid structural member that connects the single upper crane hook attachment to two lower load attachment points at a fixed spread distance, distributing the load evenly across both lower attachment points and eliminating the inward compression forces on the load that would result from sling-based rigging in a standard two-leg bridle configuration.
