This black CM chain guide is a replacement component for the Series 640 3/4 Ton manually operated puller. CM’s Series 640 parts list identifies the chain guide for the 3/4 Ton configuration as a separate service component within the frame and liftwheel assembly.

The chain guide directs the load chain into and out of the liftwheel in the correct orientation. During reeving, the chain enters the cloverleaf-style guide before engaging the liftwheel, helping the links seat correctly and reducing the possibility of the chain becoming trapped between the liftwheel and frame.
