The CM Lodestar Model J Electric Chain Hoist is designed for demanding industrial lifting and repetitive load-positioning applications. These single-reeved models provide a 0.5 Ton capacity, 32 FPM maximum lifting speed and a 1 hp motor. Available configurations include 10, 15 and 20 ft Lift options with 115 VAC single-phase or 230/460 VAC three-phase power.

The Lodestar uses a lightweight aluminum frame with an alloy steel liftwheel, hardened chain guides, a hardened steel gear train and forged latch-style hooks. Its lifetime grease-lubricated gearbox and helical gearing support smooth, efficient operation while reducing routine maintenance. Major components, including the brake, clutch, motor and electrical control panel, are positioned for convenient inspection and servicing.

A heavy-duty DC brake provides controlled stopping and dependable load holding. The load-limiting clutch is positioned outside the load path to help prevent load slippage during an overload condition when the brake is not powered. Selected 230 and 460 VAC models include three-step infinitely variable VFD control for smoother acceleration, deceleration and precise load positioning.
