The JET Powerblend High Performance Flap Disc is a Type 29 conical-profile abrasive disc engineered for aggressive material removal and blending on metal surfaces. Constructed with zirconia abrasive at Z60 grit (medium grade), this flap disc delivers a balance of fast stock removal and acceptable surface finish, making it well suited for weld blending, surface preparation, and general metal conditioning on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals. Zirconia abrasive is self-sharpening under pressure, maintaining cutting efficiency throughout the life of the disc and providing longer service life compared to standard aluminum oxide alternatives.

The Type 29 conical disc geometry positions the abrasive at an angle to the workpiece, concentrating grinding pressure at the leading edge for more aggressive material removal than a flat Type 27 disc while still allowing for effective blending passes. The Z60 medium grit is particularly effective for weld seam removal and surface conditioning where higher stock removal rate is the primary requirement and a finer finish will be achieved in a subsequent finishing pass. The 4-1/2 inch diameter and 7/8 inch center hole are compatible with standard 4-1/2 inch angle grinders, making this disc a versatile and widely applicable choice across fabrication, maintenance, and construction environments.
