CM Lodestar XL geared trolleys provide controlled horizontal travel for compatible double-reeved Lodestar XL electric chain hoists. The listed configurations include 3, 4, and 5 Ton capacities, all designed to fit beam flange widths from 4 to 6-1/4 in. The trolley supports the hoist beneath an overhead runway beam and allows the operator to move suspended loads between lifting locations without using a powered traverse motor.

The geared travel arrangement uses an operating hand chain and mechanical drive to turn the trolley wheels. This design provides more controlled positioning than a plain push trolley and reduces the effort required to move heavier suspended loads. It is well suited to manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, equipment installation, and maintenance applications where gradual forward and reverse movement is important.

The 3 Ton models have a 4 ft minimum-radius curve, 4 in wheel-tread diameter, and 9-1/8 in headroom to the shaft. The 4 and 5 Ton models have a 6 ft minimum-radius curve, 6-1/2 in wheel-tread diameter, and 12 in headroom to the shaft. Each trolley must be matched to the correct Lodestar XL capacity, double-reeving configuration, beam dimensions, and runway curvature.
