CM Series 653 lever chain hoists are manually operated lifting and pulling tools designed for close-quarter industrial applications. They can be operated in multiple positions to lift, lower, pull, drag, stretch, tension, and accurately position loads. The listed configurations cover capacities from 3/4 to 6 Ton, with confirmed 5, 10, 15, and 20 ft Lift options. Compact short-handle arrangements are used on the lower-capacity models, while the 3 and 6 Ton configurations use a standard-length handle.

The frame, covers, and operating lever are constructed from rugged steel stampings to withstand repeated handling and demanding jobsite use. Heat-treated steel gearing transfers the operator’s lever movement through the hoist, while the heat-treated welded-link load chain provides the strength and wear resistance needed for repeated lifting and pulling cycles. Forged steel upper and lower hooks include heavy-duty latches to help retain properly seated rigging when the chain becomes temporarily slack. A powder-coated exterior provides additional protection against corrosion in harsh working environments.

The free-chaining function allows unloaded chain to be pulled through the hoist for fast lower-hook positioning before the load is engaged. A rotating operating handle provides flexibility where nearby structures restrict lever movement, while the enclosed Weston-type load brake supports positive load holding and controlled positioning. A double-pawl arrangement maintains dependable engagement within the ratchet mechanism, and the non-slip rubber grip helps provide secure manual control during operation.
